There are many realities, many dimensions that make up the multi-verse. Some overlap on others and some are totally unaware of the other's existence. Each plane, each world has its own rules and laws, and some are governed by deities to keep balance in each world.

But one deity wanted to break that balance and drain all that he could with the choking hold of...Hate.

He gazed into one dimension with hateful, red eyes. Baring down on a world he considered weak and pathetic to his standards, but there was one here, in this world, that he was most interested in. One person that showed great promise and would be a great asset to him in his master plan....

In secret, he summoned his best loyal servants to go into this world and retrieve her and bring her back to him. Once he had her, he would mold her into the power she really was meant to be. Show all the planes of reality what truly was greater and that hate was all powerful.

He was going to make her hate everything...and enjoy every bit of it.

Robin came out of the training room. Just finishing up his daily routine and walking into the common room to cool off and spend some time with his teammates. He strolled in and found everyone already about their usual habits. Starfire was feeding her pet genetically mutated buy, Silkie. Cyborg and Beast Boy were going for the new high score on their video game. Raven was...

His eyes trailed to her spot, gazing at her as she flipped the page of the book her face was buried in, too entranced with it to realize he was looking at her. He quickly averted his eyes before she sensed that he was staring at her, and walked over to the mini-fridge, pulling out a water bottle and placing the cold item on the back of his neck, cooling his heated body down. Then he opened it and took a sip of the cold liquid inside and as he sipped, his eyes again trailed over to Raven, but felt safe that no one would ever tell as his mask hide his eyes, keeping anyone from knowing where exactly they were looking at.

Maybe today's the day I finally get the balls to ask her... he thought grimly to himself.

The book she’d been reading was actually rather boring, having been read dozens of times by the violet-haired young woman. It was a vampire ‘biography’, some occult truth that the mass public was unable to know—the book was by a conspiracy author and at times quite funny in retrospect.

She felt the burning weight of eyes on her, felt some emotional struggle she tried to ignore. The feelings of discontent came from her leader and someone she marked as ‘off limits’ with giant red letters. He was her captain after all and the object of Starfire’s desire, Raven would never do anything to upset the precious friendship she’d built with the Tamaranean over the years.

Blocking out the sensation of being watched the dark Titan acted as if nothing were out of the ordinary and continued to read the book she suddenly became very interested in. She had to admit that Richard was attractive, having looked past his superhero persona to the person that was buried in him somewhere. He also had a great mind, but the woman had to keep reminding herself that Starfire had long ago staked a claim, and she just didn’t look at him in that light anyway. Like any female she would appreciate his physique, but his friendship was valued so much more than some trivial relationship ever would be.

Victor Stone, a.k.a. Cyborg, groaned to himself with annoyance. "They're doing it again," he whispered to Beast Boy.

Catching Beast Boy's irritated look, Cyborg went on. "I'm not trying to distract you so I can get a higher score than you. One, I don't need to distract you to beat your score. Two, they're doing it again."

Beast Boy looked more curious this time, so Cyborg explained. "Robin and Raven. They're tip-toeing around each other because they're scared of hurting Starfire. I can understand how they feel, but Starfire can handle herself. She's not going to completely fall apart just because her best friend and oh-so-obvious crush start dating each other."

Beast Boy answered with a nod and a grunt, prompting the half-machine teen to say, "Yeah, you're right. We'd better get back to the game."

The redheaded princess from a far planet known as Tamaran wasn't a fool as some people thought of her. She was very aware of the mutual attraction growing between her best friend and the one she cared for. She never feared of losing Robin, she knew above all else that the two would remain close...but something in her nagged at her being that they'd never be as close as she wanted it to be. Robin was very offish and sometimes downright stubborn in his didication in crime-fighting; always putting everything else second, putting her second to everything...

That hurt her more than she's shown to the Boy Wonder. At first, she believed that it was just timing he needed. Time for her to loosen him up and show him that there was more to life than seeking justice. But however she tried to show this to him, he'd pull back into that shroud of shadows he seemed to cover his soul with...that pitch blackness that hid what his mask could not.

Gazing at her best friend, she wondered if she liked Robin. If she did, even in the slightest....then what would she do?

She had no idea at the moment. Instead, she chose to just ignore the problem and act as if everything was still the same, until it was time to deal with it. Making herself busy, she fed her adorable pet, Silkie some more of his favorite berries, then picked him up out of his eating chair and grabbed her leash and attached it to his collar. Placing him down, she picked up her favorite walking hat and took Silkie outside for their daily walk.
